🦊🦅 The Trickster’s Hunt: Ravens & Foxes
A JordanCon 2025 Interactive Scavenger Game
Are you ready for adventure, cleverness, and just a touch of mischief?
Whether you’re new to JordanCon or a seasoned veteran of the Pattern, we invite you to take part in our newest interactive experience:
The Trickster’s Hunt: Ravens & Foxes
Inspired by Mat Cauthon’s iconic foxhead medallion and raven-marked spear, this scavenger hunt-style game runs Friday and Saturday during the con and is open to all attendees.
🎯 How It Works
To participate, complete fun, Wheel of Time-themed activities around the con to earn raven feathers (tokens or stamps). Each feather equals one entry into The Ever-Victorious Raffle, where prizes and glory await!
After completing each activity, seek out a Death Watch Guard (our game volunteers) to show your proof and receive your feather. Guards will be clearly marked—if you spot them, you’re being watched (in the best way).
🕑 The game begins Friday morning and ends Saturday night.
🪶 Turn in your collected feathers to the New Member Services team by the end of Saturday to be entered into the raffle.
🎁 Prizes & Perks
🎗 All participants receive a special ribbon: “Con of Ravens: Raven Hunt”
🏆 Raffle prizes include:
- A JordanCon gift bag
- Bonus goodies for those who collect the most feathers!
🗺 Where to Begin
Stop by the New Member Check-In table on Friday to get your activity list and learn how to play. This game is a great way to make friends, explore the con, and lean into the fun of JordanCon.
🔍 Sneak Peek: Sample Activities
Here are just a few of the tasks you might complete:
- 📸 Snap a selfie with a Mat Cauthon cosplayer and say “It’s time to toss the dice!”
- 📸 Spell the word “Unkindness” (a group of ravens!) using letters found in signs around the hotel
- 📸 Attend a panel and share something you learned
- 📸 Find someone in WoT-inspired cosplay and say “The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills”
- 🎲 Roll doubles at the gaming hall
- 📸 Photograph a raven or a fox somewhere at the con (art, plush, cosplay, logo—anything goes!)
Every completed task brings you one step closer to rewards, recognition, and raffle riches.
📣 Join the Hunt
The Trickster’s Hunt: Ravens & Foxes is more than just a game—it’s a playful way to weave yourself deeper into the Pattern of JordanCon. New members, longtime fans, and Mat Cauthon lookalikes alike are all welcome.
So grab your camera, find a Death Watch Guard, and let the hunt begin!

Now that the schedule is live, you can optimize your volunteer shifts! Volunteering has many great perks, but a new one this year is that roughly half of dealers have committed to offering a discount to those who earn this year’s volunteer pin. You earn a unique pin each year you work 3 shifts (~4.5 hours) over the entire con.
One of the best things about JordanCon is that we are run completely on the loving labor of volunteers. So come be part of the family and help make this year’s con the best one yet!
Not sure where to start? Some great options are Badge Checking, Art Show, and ConSuite as they offer lots of options.
If you have any questions, or just need to celebrate, reach out to us in the volunteer chat in the JordanCon Discord. You can also send an email to volunteering@jordancon.org, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
Also, remember to sign up for volunteer orientation when you sign up for a shift to ensure you receive timely and important information.

JordanCon is an AMAZING event, and it’s always so much fun to see friends and family old and new. However, it can also be pretty overwhelming, and you may need to take a minute (or 30) alone to regroup, recharge, and just enjoy the silence a bit.
While we can’t guarantee that any area on site will be quiet, we do want to provide some locations where you may be able to step away from the bustle for a bit.
At the top of the list is the gardens behind the hotel. It’s a beautiful wooded park area, with benches scattered throughout, a patio with Adirondack chairs, and a gazebo with seating. It’s a wonderful place to take a walk or sit on a sunny afternoon with a book or have some one-on-one time with a friend. For safety’s sake, though, please use the buddy system and make sure you and your friends are watching out for each other if roaming after dark.
Another option is to find a quiet corner inside the hotel. There are some public seating areas near the front desk and outside of the Gaming and Writers Track areas. There’s also a nice area near the coffee bar that has some quiet times, usually earlier in the day. If you want a quiet meal, you have that option downstairs as well; take a book and zone out while you eat your lunch or dinner.
Finally, your hotel room or local quarters are always an option to step away from the crowds for a bit. You can take your ConSuite food back there for a quiet meal, catch a catnap, or hang out with a friend or two in a less bustling space.

Tomorrow the host hotel block opens for booking! So today I wanted to take the time to tell you a little bit about the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia.
1. Either valet or self parking is available on site. In the past, the hotel has offered a reduced daily rate for JordanCon attendees. Parking is in a garage under the hotel. In 2024, an alternate parking garage was available as well, around the corner from the hotel.
2. Food is available on site. The Crowne Plaza offers a grab-and-go convenience food selection, a coffee shop, two bars (upstairs and down), light eats upstairs, and a full-service restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. With JordanCon in the hotel, breakfast that in the past consisted of a buffet meal, usually eggs, potatoes, meat(s), and a breakfast bread like pancakes or waffles, plus the usual continental items as well.

3. If you smoke or vape, there’s an area to the far left of the hotel entrance (turn left as you go out the hotel doors). There are at least three picnic tables there, along with butt cans and a trash can. Remember to help keep this area clean!
4. Behind the hotel is a beautiful park area. It’s a great place to take your food delivery (no eating in the hotel lobby), or to get away from the bustle of the con for a bit with a book. The park has some great places to take photos, and you can bet all the pro photographers at the event know the best spots!
5. If you’re a mermaid, there is a pool. It’s indoors on floor 2 and heated, so if you want to take a dip, you have that option.
6. The area surrounding the hotel boasts a ton of places for you to grab snacks and beverages for the room (Target and Publix are close by), or to go out to have a meal outside the hotel. UberEats, Grubhub, and the like are also available should you just want to chill in your room with some Chinese food.
7. Lastly, staying at the host hotel enhances your JordanCon experience. You have a place to store purchases from the Vendors Hall, a place to escape the crowds, a room to go back to with your ConSuite lunch, and a bed to stumble toward when you’re exhausted from a long night of dancing or gaming.

Tl;dr? The host hotel is the place to be for JordanCon 2025. The link opens November 2 at noon, so watch social media and your email to book.
