This month’s Wheel of Time Wednesday was an official announcement (or for some, a confirmation) that Michael McElhatton has joined the cast of the Wheel of Time TV show! If you find yourself thinking he looks familiar, you may recognize him as Roose Bolton from Game of Thrones (or any of his other projects on his impressively long resume).
He’s definitely got the acting experience needed, and he even played a dad on Game of Thrones! But let’s all hope Rand turns out better than Ramsey…

We knew it was coming, but it’s a completely different thing to see it in action! It’s fantastic, and we’re so excited to get our first peek at the cast reading as their characters. If you haven’t heard by now, there was some huge news released today for #WoTWednesday! The Wheel of Time on Prime Twitter account dropped some major casting news, and we’re thrilled to share it! If these first few choices are any indication, there’s a phenomenal show coming our way.
Joining Rosamund Pike, previously announced to be playing Moiraine, we have:
Josha Stradowski as Rand
Marcus Rutherford as Perrin
Barney Harris as Mat
Zoë Robins as Nynaeve
Madeleine Madden as Egwene
