Calling all Authors and Artists! The JordanCon 2025 Anthology submissions are now open!
Every year JordanCon publishes an anthology featuring art and stories submitted by guests and attendees of the convention. All proceeds from the sale of the anthology go toward supporting the JordanCon Charity. We are looking for short fiction (under 7,500 words), novellas (12,000-20,000 words), and interior art.
- Fiction submissions are due by September 15, 2024.
- Art submissions are due by November 1, 2024.
The theme of the JordanCon 2025 Anthology is simply, Heroes. We are looking for stories and art centered around the hero trope. Valiant heroes, unsung heroes, reluctant heroes, antiheroes… There are many flavors of heroes in art and literature. We love to root for them, we love to see them victorious against all odds, and we love to sing their praises.
Sometimes, they save the day or vanquish the enemy on their own, but sometimes, they have a companion. Be that a sidekick or a familiar, another hero, or multiple heroes along for the adventure, or even an adversary they have to team up with… companions can make the quest more interesting.
Give us art and stories that embrace the hero trope. Dig deep and entertain us, fascinate us, and give us goosebumps. We want our authors and artists to wow us and give us something to remember about their heroes.
These are only broad examples and non-exhaustive. We cherish creativity on theme. Stories and art must also fall within the categories of Science Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror, meaning that they must contain elements of one or more of these genres.
