Update for Charity Events

Charity Auction

It’s that time of the Con again to open your hearts and wallets to give to a very worthy cause and get some cool stuff in the process. This year, the Board of Directors at JordanCon has agreed that all proceeds from our Charity Auction will be donated to the family of David Farland to assist with the medical bills for his son Ben. Procedures for this year’s auction will be the same as last year. If you missed it or need a refresher, here they are:

  • Items will be spread out on several tables around the room to create more visibility.
  • Rather than close the entire auction at once, each table will close at a specified time which will be posted on the table. These times are firm!!
  • Badge numbers are required to make bids.
  • Payment and item pick-up will not occur during or immediately after the auction. Pick-up receipts will be given to winners. Beginning at 8:30 am on Sunday morning, bring your ticket to the auction pick-up table at Registration to make your payment and receive your item. Do not go through the standard Registration line. Pick-up table will be clearly marked.

If you have any questions, please contact Jamie or Christopher Cybert. Good luck, have fun, and thank you for giving.

Seanchan Hold’em Poker Tournament

JordanCon's annual Seanchan Hold'em is on Friday of the convention. $20 gets you into the game. You will be allowed a second chance buy-in of $10 for half the starting chips (there are penalties for failing the Empress). This year’s tournament will be played using Wheel of Time playing cards provided by Ta’veren Tees featuring the artwork of Ariel Burgess.

All proceeds from the tournament will go to the Mayo Clinic Amylodoisis Research in honor of Robert Jordan.

For winning you get a nice shiny trophy and a copy of the Mistborn Adventure Game. But you are really doing it for the trophy, right?
